Alterverses are planned worlds in Hytale. There are five alterverses currently shown in concept art: Orbis, Numdrassl, Nexus, Tor'Balyn and Karpak. Orbis is the main alterverse, where most of the player's story takes place.[1] The role of the others is currently unknown. It is also unknown if the other alterverses will make it into the main game as not all concept art has been confirmed,[2] and only Orbis has been shown in screenshots released for the game.
Orbis[ | ]

Orbis is the main alterverse, where most of Hytale's storyline takes place. Orbis features at least six zones, which each have their own themes and climate, along with large oceans. World generation on Orbis generates outwards infinitely.
Numdrassl[ | ]
The concept art for Numdrassl features extremely tall marble pillars sticking out of its surface, with visible vegetation.
Nexus[ | ]
The concept art for Nexus shows a rocky purple surface covered with mountains, with no signs of any life on its surface.
Tor'Balyn[ | ]
The concept art for Tor'Balyn shows a cracked, red, mountainous surface, and is shown to have been broken apart into five pieces. Tor'Balyn also has no visible vegetation.
Karpak[ | ]
The concept art for Karpak shows a large yellow alterverse with mountains along the top and a spiral in the center, and a few bodies of water are seen near the bottom of the alterverse.
